Camping Recliner

5 things a pregnant camper should take!
Some women refuse to camp full stop when pregnant, some attempt camping early in the pregnancy, and others go camping right up until their due date. So is it safe for women to go camping while pregnant? The answer is yes, but pack your camping gear wisely. Below is a list of 5 things to consider when camping whilst pregnant.
- Pillows, pillows and more pillows – they provide extra padding and plenty of support.
- Hot water bottle – they are wonderful for a sore back. Simply put your kettle on your portable grill stove and boil water for the hot water bottle. Works a treat especially on cooler nights.
- Sling back camp chair – This is a must. You can purchase sling back lounge chairs which recline to various levels depending on your needs. These lounge camp chairs have a panel for a leg rest which is fantastic for swollen feet or elevating painful varicose veins.
- Sleep is important – a proper Camping Cot is fantastic and they fold up fairly small otherwise a foam mattress is even better. Probably best to avoid a blow up mattress especially if you are in the last weeks of pregnancy as they provide very little back support.
- Craving foods and lots of water. Craving foods is more for comfort but you can be sure you’ll appreciate having that block of chocolate (or your choice of crave food) nearby when the craving attacks you unexpectedly.
For those of you who are pregnant campers be sure to include these things on your outdoor camping trip and you will be camping in comfort and style!
